Vintage Birds by Pam Taylor

Home Sweet Home~

Pam Kueny Taylor is a mixed media artist living on the beautiful Whidbey Island; just a hop, skip and a jump from our little town!  She has been creating works of art as long as she can remember.  As a child, she would spend endless hours painting rocks, beading, drawing, or building things out of everyday objects.

As an adult, her passions have been glass work, copper sculptures and wood working.  She found that the world of Alternative and Steampunk art drew her in more than any other, so she gave it a try. These bird creations are the result.  They incorporate many of the elements that she has always loved through her many years of creating.

Most of the birds are vintage, hand carved, and hand painted.  Many of the fine details have been handcrafted to suit that particular bird.  Also, most of the bases for the birds are vintage or antique, and finding just the right base for each bird is an exciting adventure in and of itself!

No two are alike, and each bird has its own name and is signed by the artist, via paint or engraving. Pam also loves to hide a peace sign on each one…her signature element.

Many hours and much thought have gone into each piece, and she hopes you enjoy them as much as she has enjoyed creating them!  If you see a particular bird that catches your fancy, contact us right away, as they are all unique and one of a kind…we can’t say how long a particular piece will stay in the store before having its final flight to a customer’s collection. 😉

Be aware that some of the birds featured below may have sold, but feel free to stop by the shop, give us a call, or send requests via our Contact Form.   We’d love to hear from you!
